WINTER 2001 EMTH 215 Sections 30 and 40 Mathematics and Technology Projects
The students in the Winter 2001 semester were given two assignments that involved the use of technology. One was a technology log, where they had to access the web (and other technology) on a regular basis throughout the semester, document what they did, when, their thoughts about it etc. Through this project the students came across many great sites that they want to share with their colleagues. For now the sites are simply listed below. By the end of August these sites will be grouped according to math topic and added to the hot lists already generated for geometry, rational numbers and data management.
Another assignment involved the students designing a few lessons which incorporated technology in a meaningful
and appropriate manner in the course of the lesson. They had to describe the technology option, where they would
use it in the lesson, why, and how this technology option would impact on the learning environment. Websites and
other appropriate technology emerging from this project will be posted on this link, again to be organized in a
suitable fashion at a later date.
