Mathematics Education
at the University of Regina

Welcome to Mathematics Education at the University of Regina. This website serves the Faculty of Education's Mathematics Education subject area. This site is designed for preservice mathematics teachers in order to give them experience with the World Wide Web and to enable them to effectively use web resources in their teaching of mathematics. This site also lists course descriptions within the Mathematics Education subject area, the instructors teaching the courses, information about the graduating group of secondary mathematics majors, and general information regarding all students taking the EMTH classes.

The focus of the Mathematics Education Subject Area is to enable future mathematics teachers to develop a constructivist, problem-solving, resource-based approach to teaching mathematics, in keeping with recent provincial curricular initiatives.

The Mathematics Education website is designed for four different program groups, namely:

Elementary
Secondary
