Overview
In August of 2002, the Faculty of Education at the University of Regina received a major grant from Industry Canada (pending) to fund a three year action research project. The project aims to facilitate the integration of information and communications technology (ICT) into key components of the Faculty's undergraduate program and directly into the preintership and internship experiences of students.
The grant supplies the Faculty with wireless computer equipment for the classroom, provides resources for faculty professional development and supports research related to the use of technology in teaching. The goal of the project is not simply to provide more hardware and software for the classroom, but rather, to support faculty members and students in developing thoughtful, useful and appropriate ways of using technology in teaching and learning.
