Preservice Module #10: Webquests Conculsion and Review
Introduction
This module represents the final phase in the design and development of WebQuests. To have reached this point, you will have familiarized yourself with the concepts and key elements of WebQuests, identified a topic or theme, selected a design template, created the WebQuest by writing an introduction, including task objectives from the Evergreen curriculum, created a series of activities, identified, evaluated and incorporated web-based resources, and developed an evaluation rubric. Your final task is to refine and edit your WebQuest using the evaluation rubric that you were given in Module 6.
Task
At the conclusion of this module, you will have designed, developed and refined a WebQuest that you can integrate in to your final placement for EPS 225.
Process
To complete this module, you will be required to complete the following activities:
Activity A
- Open your template or shell that you have downloaded from the WebQuest Page.
- Check all links and sections of your WebQuest to ensure that they are correct and functioning.
Activity B
- Using the Rubric for WebQuests that was provided in Module 6, assess your own WebQuest.
- On the basis of your assessment, make any changes or modifications necessary.
Activity C
Extend your understanding of the different types of WebQuests available by applying the assessment rubric to assess a classmate's WebQuest. The focus here is on constructive support and criticism. Be prepared to share your comments and suggestions.
