The list of resources are limited and representative of the types of sites that may be useful. Your job is to use this list, but also add to this list resources that are more specific to your thematic unit topic.
Planning Resources
- Evergreen Curriculum from Saskatchewan Learning is the source for all things curriculum realted. All the curriculum documents available here.
- Virtual Resource Centre from Saskatchewan Learning is a listing of topically sorted websites, all of which have passed the rigorous evaluation of Sask Learning in order to be included in this list. Anything you find here should be suitable for the classroom setting.
- iTeacherEd provides a nice listing of Subject area specific sites that can be used in your planning and teaching.
- Graphics and Multimedia Resource List is an iTeacherEd listing of important resources for creating web pages and other media.
- The Webquest Site is the main portal for quality webquests to be found on the web.
- Filamentality is a great website which allows you to create hotlists and other web pages without having to know any HTML.
- Hot Potatoes suite includes six applications, enabling you to create interactive multiple-choice, short-answer, jumbled-sentence, crossword, matching/ordering and gap-fill exercises for the World Wide Web.
- EdHelper is a website which produces worksheets and activities for a variety of subject areas.
- Mr. Hoffman's Math Resouces has a large number of java activities and content sorted according to the Saskatchewan curriculum.
- The Atlas of Canada is an incredible resource for Social Studies teachers -- includes a large variety of maps, quizzes, and facts about Canada.
- AtoZTeacherStuff is a very popular resource for all sorts of teaching-related resources. Be sure to check out their themes page.

- Mythic Journeys gives Flash lessons on native cultures from around the world.
- Frogguts gives a Flash alternative to real-life dissections. Very well done!
- WBLRD web resources (from a branch of Sask Learning) is a listing of online resources that can be used in your classroom. Many of these contain content from online courses offered by Sask Learning.
Student Learning Resources
- Mythic Journeys gives Flash lessons on native cultures from around the world.
- Brainpop has Flash movies on extensive Health, Science, Technology, Math, English and Social Studies topics. Great!
- Math Mayhem gives students a chance to put their math skills to the test against a timer or other students.
- Maggie's Earth Adventures provides education games in Social Studies, Language Arts, and Math. Teacher Resources also included.
- MusicTheory.net provides many lessons, trainers, and utilities to help teach students the basics of music theory.
- iTangram is an interactive version of the classic geometric shapes game.
